On Saturday night, at around 8:30 PM, Shubham, an acquaintance called up the victim and invited her to go out and eat noodles. The girl left her home at 9 pm and met him, who took her on his bike to a secluded place near Chhilawaan Masjid in Sarojininagar. After chatting for over 20 minutes, Shubham took her to his friend Sumit and insisted that they should go and eat noodles, said cops.
After covering some distance, the two youths gang-raped her. Some time later, they both fled the crime scene leaving the girl to misery. The teen girl, who was physically and emotionally raped was left with no strength, but somehow managed to reached the main road to ask for help.
While looking for some help, she saw Virendra who was passing by and stopped. However, instead of helping her, he too raped her. In her complaint, she told, “Despite being betrayed by an acquaintance, I trusted Virendra and sought his help as he appeared to be a good samaritan. He, too, took me to an isolated area and raped me before fleeing the spot.”
After repeatedly getting raped, the girl had no strength to go back home. She somehow managed to reach home post midnight and told the whole incident to her parents. Her father lodged a complaint with Sarojininagar Police around 4.30am.
The girl is a blood cancer survivor. She has defeated the cancer, but is now hospitalized after this attack on her body and soul. She is being treated, however her condition is stable.
The accused passerby — Banthara resident Virendra Yadav (45) — was arrested. Yadav works at a construction site, police said. Later, Sumit, one of the accused, was also arrested. Shubham belongs to the girl’s locality and efforts are on to arrest him.
